It's not about her music, it's about her respect for ALL music.
Taylor Swift: "Piracy, file sharing and streaming have shrunk the numbers of paid album sales drastically... It's my opinion that music should not be free, and my prediction is that individual artists and their labels will someday decide what an album's price point is. I hope they don't underestimate themselves or undervalue their art."
She will NOT give her new songs to SPOTTY PIE.
This is coming from a woman who has sold more copies of a new album (this week's release of 1989) than anyone in the past dozen years.
She is making more money than she could ever spend.
And yet, she's standing up for ALL the artists who are being tossed pennies by SPOTTY PIE.
Got that, Seniormole, you fucking wine-drunk senile piece of shit? Your fabulous SPOTIFY, the paradigm for the music industry, is NOT WORKING.
Sam Spade put it succinctly years ago, when he put his life on the line to avenge the death of his partner: "You've got to do something. It's bad for business. Bad all around." And yet, how often does someone in a position of power think about morality?
Taylor Swift is looking out for her industry, and making a statement for the struggling young artistes, and the older ones barely hanging on. She's taking pride in HER ALBUM, her real album on CD. She considers herself a songwriter, first and foremost. She knows the pennies SPOTIFY tosses compared to what they keep for themselves, and she knows there are plenty of songwriters who rely exclusively on royalties.
I won't "ventillate" and repeat my anger and rage about piracy, stupidity from fans, greed from corporations, or my disgust with the army of scabs out there who happily undercut ME and all the others who are trying to make a living. I'll just say once again...
I LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT!
And where's Viley Virus, off somewhere trying to lick her own vagina? Woof woof, Viley.
