Spying on everyone, friend or stranger. Invading their privacy.
It comes under the broad, drippy umbrella of "the public has a right to know."
Really? You know who thinks that way? Big Brother Google. The Fascist Internet. People who make money from other peoples' misery.
I'll admit, THIS is a funny story. A bitch named CREAMER, ha ha ha, got into a fight with her own sister, ho ho ho, because of a vibrator one was apparently hogging from the other. HEE HEE HEE. And some guy was there, too, and he was paying more attention to Heidi's sis than to Heidi the ho. Ho Ha Hee!
Thanks to an Internet website that makes money off misery (The Smoking Gun), the arrest ("public information") became known to ALL of Heidi's friends and family as well as US, the vast, giggling army of prurient putzes and cunts.
Thanks to FARCEBOOK, and without her permission, we even have an amusing photo of Creamy-Cunt. She does look proud of herself. But let's remember, she didn't post this picture on a dating or swinger's site. She was just stupid enough to think that FARCEBOOK has some kind of copyright on it. She may have thought that photos she posts are NOT freeeee for anyone to use and make money from. Smirk-smirk.
But this is NEWS. The public has a RIGHT to information. Her information. YOUR information. MY information. Which is why, you and I, and other intelligent people, try not to expose so much of ourselves, so just in case we do something as stupid as Heidi did, the Smoking Gun won't have a hot picture to help them make money.
It seems that in our zeal for amusement, and our "entitlement" to "transparency," we're not going to stop until cameras are installed in every house, every room, every corridor, and any website's notion of "news" means that it all goes public.
Orwell? Hey, it's already a fact. There are guys who've made millions off "abuse your ex" websites, where guys post nude pix of former girlfriends. They get REVENGE and we laugh and get a kick out of it, and the site owner owns a condo in the Bahamas and has more drugs than his nose can handle.
Invasion of privacy for money? Tons of websites will let you join for $10 a month, or whatever, to see stolen photos of men, women, couples, and who knows what else.
EBAY sellers shamelessly make a few bucks off privacy invasion, and some of these people are married couples who wouldn't want their OWN dirty snapshots for sale. No, but they happily make chump change (as low as $2 or $3) by filling the secret "adult" area of the site with junk like: a CD-R with 500 Polaroids of nudes on it, or a set of DVDs (in envelopes, no artwork) showing misc. amateur couples fucking, or glimpses of nude chicks, etc.
Ebay has "rules" that supposedly protect people but guess what, nobody on the site patrols the site, and all a seller has to do is say "Ebay, I own this CD, this DVD, it's my copyright," or "models are over 18" and that's good enough for them! They don't ask for the paperwork.
HEIDI couldn't hide. Arrests are "public information" in America, as are mugshots. Doesn't matter if you're convicted...if you're arrested, your mugshot belongs to the world for their entertainment. And profit, in the case of The Smoking Gun and others.
Creamy Creamer's arrest? The public has a right to know, and thanks to her FARCEBOOK photo, The Smoking Gun picked on her, and the entire Internet picked up on it. It's ALL GOOD. It's ALL Permitted.
There's a psychology term called "rationalization." This is where 60 year-old British men who are on the internet as "Lord of the Boot Sale" or "Seniormole," shrug and say, "What's the fuss, I'm not harming anyone by copying, sharing, enjoying copyrighted material." And it's where we can all find excuses for anything and everything. And in this case, it's "Oh, this Heidi Creamer is a brainless slut. Who cares about her privacy?"
Indeed, Heidi may be an escort or a whore for all we know. She apparently has been too busy fucking around with her identical sister and boyfriends and vibrators to add to her FARCEBOOK page in two years. She spent the anniversary of 9/11 posting that hot shot of herself, which got a few coy responses:
But let's not blame the victim, say "she had it coming," or "all musicians and entertainers and authors are millionaires so I can steal their work" etc. etc. Let's think, now and then, about the big picture, which is how the ever increasing apathy we have toward others, the ever increasing selfishness we have about our own wants, is leading is to worse abuses and lawlessness
We all are enjoying the Heidi story. Will you enjoy it when it happens to a friend of yours? Or yourself? You're not making it easier, by posting your photo on FARCEBOOK, are you???
