Cameron Gets 5 More Years - And yes, you CAN buy CYANIDE on EBAY

Good news and bad news for many British people. The bad news first: Cameron and his shower buddies got re-elected with an even bigger vote. The headline should be: "We sent in the clowns...now bring us MORE IMMIGRANTS."

The good news?

Well, a British blogger friend wondered, in despair, if they sell cyanide on Ebay. And the answer is YES.

I guess this is to make it easier to kill women, not just rape them with chloroform.

As a test, I reported a seller offering CYANIDE.

And a seller offering CHLOROFORM.

The one selling the deadlier chemical was fine. Only the chloroform was removed.

Ha ha ho ho hee hee.

You'd think that when a website bans a substance such as CHLOROFORM, they'd mean it. If a seller types CHLOROFORM in his ad header, shouldn't he get a warning and a prompt? How about: "Dear Seller, CHLOROFORM is illegal on eBay. If it's the title of a rock album, fine, but if you are selling a bottle of it, you risk suspension."

Nah. Ebay reserves prompts for IMPORTANT things like: "Dear Potential Bidder, you have typed in Hans-the-Fucker as your eBay name. We don't allow dirty words such as Hans. Please revise your bidder name to proceed."

Really. They censor bidder names. They also give sellers prompts for all kinds of ridiculous reasons...but a blatant header about CHLOROFORM ain't one of 'em.

Laws for Internet businesses like Ebay are lax. The politicians take pity on the Internet giant's excuse: "We can't patrol our site. We're just a venue. Tell us if there's a problem and maybe we'll do something."

Christ, even crappy supermarkets have a security guard at the door. Imagine if the attitude was, "We don't allow people to bring automatic weapons into our supermarket, but we won't report anyone to the police if they do. We'll wait till they start firing."

Ebay relies on concerned citizens to use the faint link on the right side of each ad: "report this auction." That leads to a confusing set of pull-down menus. If you don't pick the right one, your complaint will be ignored.

How many citizens know CHLOROFORM is illegal on eBay? How many know where the page is that tells them that CHLOROFORM is a hazardous substance but Cyanide...not so much?

That information is buried, too. But here it is:

OH. Did you notice CYANIDE PRODUCTS is on the list?

Well, maybe my report wasn't read. Or read by somebody sleepy. I reported several chloroform and cyanide auctions at the same time as a test. It proves Ebay employees are fucked up.

Right now, it's up to a concerned citizen who wants to prevent rape and/or murder, to check through eBay and report CHLOROFORM and CYANIDE auctions and re-report them again and again if necessary.

Do you suppose you could go to GoFUNDMe or Kickstarter and ask people to pay you to do that? "I can save lives...but it takes time reporting this shit." I doubt you'd get a penny.

This is why Ebay and the rest do so well. If there isn't utter apathy, there's utter stupidity...like re-relecting Cameron.

Frankly, when my friend made the cyanide comment, I was fairly confident eBay would NOT have it for sale.

I was also confident I wouldn't see chloroform for sale either.

I thought there was surely a red-flag on chloroform, because it got banned thanks to BAD PUBLICITY for EBAY.

Several years ago, a guy named Braunstein bought a complete "rape kit" on Ebay. He got a badge, a fireman's uniform, rope, all kinds of shit to convince a woman he had to get into her apartment. He also bought CHLOROFORM, to make sure she wouldn't struggle.

After that embarrassment for Ebay (the papers were loaded with "how did he get CHLOROFORM...") the site put chloroform on their list. But as you can see, they did NOTHING to prevent a seller from disposing of over 200 bottles of the stuff. Who knows how much damage that's done.

I know. Not as much damage as Mr. Cameron has done and will continue to do. I suppose if Ebay policy was dictated by the Great Unwashed, they'd not only allow dangerous drugs for sale, but guns, too. "Why shouldn't we get guns on eBay? Second amendment! Right to bear arms! Don't take away our fun!"

Who knows, maybe THIS time around, Cameron will declare that automatic weapons are now legal in Great Britain because, after all, it's so much a part of the Muslim religion.
