UPDATE:

Omar Mateen's family issued a statement saying they had NO idea their Fuzzy Wuzzy Muzzy was going to do something like this.

His father muttered that Omar was walking along with his spawn, saw two men kissing, and was offended: "How can they do that in front of my son." What, like it was his son's turn?

Naturally, instead of finding a passage in the Koran to suggest that we show tolerance for others, he got assault weapons.

And instead of being concerned for his stupid 3 year-old growing up without a father, this asshole offed 50 fags. Oh, LOGICAL, Oh ISLAM.

The family is offering "condolences" to the dead and wounded. Sure, that helps. Not a lot.

A Muslim group of some kind, actually issued a statement condemning what happened. Naturally the media was quick to publish it, because Islam is a FINE, FINE religion, and let's just put this behind us. Somebody apologized.

Seddique said Mateen was a husband and father to a 3-year-old son. The family's home in Port St. Lucie is less than two hours south of Orlando. Here's a cute twist: Omar's father said that his son "attended Indian River State College, where he got an associate's degree in criminal justice."

Now let's hear from a cautious politician. Democrat Alan Grayson, who represents the district where the gay nightclub attack took place, said "more likely than not" the attack was based on the killer being a Muslim: "Let me put it this way, the nationality of family members is indicative."

I think that's as far as he'll ever go. He doesn't want Muslims spraying him and his office with bullets.
