Internet Monopolies - Too Powerful to Pay Taxes

Just...how...POWERFUL...are the Internet monopolies?

They don't even pay their fair share of taxes.

Yeah, the TAXMAN might pursue the average person all over the place, but not INTERNET GIANTS.

Ebay just sent out a message to all its sellers. In part:

No way the bill passes, considering the lobbying power of eBay's "team."

Ebay is just letting sellers know this: "Don't complain about how much money WE and our illegitimate bitch step-sister Paypal take out of YOUR wallet...we are fighting to make sure the taxman stays out of it!"

The number of e-mails eBay will toss at senators from angry sellers or bidders isn't going to matter one way or the other. Fact is, if eBay is really worried the bill might pass, they'd just shut down the site for a day in protest (they can afford it) and watch the furious rage it would cause. They'd call in their pal Jeff Bozo Bezos and have HIM do it too, since Amazon has thousand upon thousands of freelancers selling used books and DVDs and other products.

You might remember Jeff Bozo Bezos, the billionaire Fascist of Amazon, making sure that his huge company did NOT PAY TAXES.

His very minor compromise was that since Amazon has huge offices in New York and California, people in those states would have to pay local taxes on what they buy. That's about it. And that's barely it on eBay, too. If a seller gets a winning bid from somebody in his own state, he has the OPTION of charging tax. It's not even a requirement!

THAT is how powerful the Internet giants are. They can tell the government to go fuck themselves.

We saw how GOOGLE and WIKIPEDIA and AMAZON and their friends turned the Internet black and screamed till they were blue in the face: "Don't pass SOPA, demand FREEDOM OF SPEECH!"

SOPA, of course, would've made Google and their friends responsible for allowing piracy. They'd have to ask their anonymous scumbags to offer proof that Brian Wilson ok'd the upload of every Beach Boys album. AND...they just might have to pay for aiding and abetting the pirates when taken to court. No more "we're just a venue" bullshit.

The government, frankly, is SCARED SHITLESS of GOOGLE and its spying on everybody's e-mails and its drones and its Google maps. SOPA was withdrawn very quickly, which made everyone think, "Right, "sharing" isn't stealing, and torrents and blogs and forums are protected by "freedom of speech."

Sure, nobody wants to pay taxes. But WE DO and EBAY and PAYPAL and friends do NOT. And saying Megaupload and Kim Dotcom and the jerks behind Kickass and Demonoid deserve to be billionaires but execs at Sony do NOT, is beyond ridiculous. How funny to see morons on Kickass post messages about how they're all "sticking it to The Man." Yeah, and "The Man" behind Kickass takes his whores out in a big limousine to a $1,000 a plate fancy dinner and laughs all the way home again.
