BLAIR - Just Because People Voted For It, It's Not a Law...

Politicians.

If it was up to them, EVERY word in the dictionary would have an asterisk. As in *not necessarily.

Whatever the definition: *not necessarily.

You tell 'em, Tony:

It was JUST a referendum. It was JUST a vote. Let's not leave the EU too fast, or at all. Let's just ignore the vote entirely. Nice one, Tony.

Probably the funniest (as opposed to the most tragic) example of political word-fucking was during Bill Clinton's troubles with his assistant Monica.

First he declared to reporters, "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman."

She sucked his cock. That wasn't "sexual relations."

He stuck a cigar in her twat. That wasn't "sexual relations."

In the Clinton dictionary, "sexual relations" means "sexual intercourse," and you are supposed to do a Tony Blair, and infer that a) "sexual relations" means NO sex at all, and b) if there was sex involved, well, nobody voted on it, so it doesn't count.

Or as Bill re-phrased it on a hot, hot day in August, 1998:

"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."

Got that? Or as the niggas say, "It IS what it IS."
