In the old days, I'd have to make a bunch of calls to record stores, or drop by in person to find out "What's it worth..." but now? Just a quick glance at EBAY is enough.
The Beatles at The Hollywood Bowl in various legal and illegal incarnations...MAY or may NOT be worth some money.
Is interest heating up thanks to Opie and his new movie, and all the hype? Seems so.
But that means more supply than demand. The market is being flooded with a conveniently big supply of NEW CDS, as well as collectors item pressings.
A lot of people are trying to unload their unwanted BOWLS OF SHIT, and are happy to push their Russian or Chinese or whatever new CD editions. And some frantic ninnies actually are buying. This is just a small sample of what sold. Not everything sold, and some people were overpricing their crap, and others merely had the usual scratchy vinyl.
The CD is already available? Really? Or are these bootlegs disguised as advance pressings? And does anyone over at Apple really want to spend any time or money controlling the hemorrhaging of money due to piracy?
Lots of other questions to ponder, like: who the fuck WANTS an obsolete 8 track of this fucking thing? Who cares about a rare pressing of an almost unlistenable album? Why are there geeks who give a rat's ass over a particular color of label or style of bar code?
Oh, and does THIS provide more evidence, among witless naive dipshits, that "vinyl is coming back???"
