After all, it suggests a person is retarded.
Oh, I mean "mentally challenged."
"Hey, you BOBBLEHEAD." Sounds like a good insult!
Why the FUCK do people collect "Bobblehead" dolls? How often can you watch an over-sized head "bobble" when you touch it? WHY would you want to?
You'd have to be a BOBBLHEAD to be entertained watching a stupid looking oversized caricature plastic head bounce and wobble on a crappy plastic doll's body.
Today, the Boston Red Sox, an obnoxious team of assholes that appeal to stupid dumb Irish motherfucking inbred drunks, pulled the plug on their 'David Ortiz Bobblehead Doll.' They'd planned to distribute it at tonight's game.
Some 50,000 or so dipshits will have to wait until a NEW 'David Ortiz Bobblehead Doll' is manufactured. The Red Sox will I guess give one to anyone who had a ticket for tonight's game. OR, spend some money mailing them to anyone who mails in their ticket stub. Whatever.
Here's the version being junked for...being RACIALLY INSENSITIVE.
No, it's not racially insensitive at all.
Caricature, we all know, emphasizes a person's features. If one is Negroid, one is likely to have a flat nose and big lips, which become flatter and more gigantic in caricature form. If someone has a big fucking head to begin with, and a lot of ugly beard-scrub, those will be emphasized. If one is an egomaniac low-class jerk who likes to wear garish sunglasses, that's what you'll get.
It's one thing to deliberately distort and humiliate someone's racial or ethnic features. This is usually accompanied by inappropriate garb as well. For example, a caricature of Woody Allen with a giant nose, big glasses, wearing a yarmulke and a prayer shawl. That kind of thing. What's so bad about what you see above?
Such is the problem with the "politically correct" brigade.
The owner of the Red Sox, who apparently is so stupid and shit-headed he didn't OK the original illustration used to make this stupid thing, suddenly decided it didn't look like David, and, worse, was RACIALLY INSENSITIVE.
How sad that most fans, who just want some worthless piece of shit they can sell on eBay for double the price, will now have to wait for another version. (PS, how many of THIS version have leaked, and will become big COLLECTORS ITEMS???)
For those out of town, even baseball teams that have good attendance will offer, at least twice a month, idiotic trinket nights: t-shirt day, bat day, ball day, of course, but also ridiculous shit like bobblehead dolls, towels, decals, and whatever else they can con advertisers into backing. Oooh, it's "Sun Tan Oil Day," with the official team logo on the cap of a bottle of Coppertone.
For those who aren't aware of who this David Ortiz guy is, he's a giant Latino-Negro of some kind. He looks black but his heritage is Hispanic. He's an all-star, and for several years, one of the big names on the Red Sox. His nickname is "Big Papi," which could easily be considered racially insensitive. "Papi" is the idiotic nasal Latino term for a father, or just a fucker. "Ay, Papi, gimme a bang tonight, yes? No?"
You know, like a redneck would say, "Hey Mama, you look fine, gimme a bang tonight, yes? Don't say no or I'll bash your skull in with this bottle of Jack."
Ortiz is proof that in Boston they don't just root madly for white people. Boston, after all, was home to a certain famous actor (MARK WAHLBERG) who in his surly youth once beat up some poor guy for being black. Or Hindu. Or Latino. Something like that. So you'd think that loving "Big Papi" as they do, they'd also accept that his skin is dark, his head is huge, his nose is flat, half his face is covered with what appears to be rat fur, and that he's got large lips. He's also kind of fat. But he hits home runs. And Jeez, Babe Ruth had a Negroid nose, was ugly and fat, too. You can't draw Babe Ruth any way BUT with racial insensitivity!
So, in closing, let's say that bobblehead dolls are useless, and almost always ugly and insulting.
And that the Boston Red Sox suck. (So do the Grimsby Mariners, but that's another story...)
