Creators Alliance vs RIAA sloth and GOOGLE GREED

Pardon my Columbo impersonation, but..."One more thing..."

Buried at the Grammy awards, while people at home took a shit, and those backstage took a hit, was the annual speech nobody pays attention to. This is where the head of the Academy, or some other dunderhead, gets some face time to show his family that he's important.

This time, Grammy president Neil Portnow did a little more than some sanctimonious minute of boredom about how "music is important to our lives," blah blah.

He ACTUALLY mentioned COPYRIGHT issues.

He ACTUALLY referenced the copyright battles a few artists (The Turtles, Taylor Swift) have made against the seemingly overwhelming tide of "go with the flow" apathy.

Nobody was paying attention, but he said "LAWS...MOST STRONGLY PROTECT THOSE WHO CREATE THE SOUNDTRACK OF OUR LIVES."

Right, Said Fred. Er, Neil.

There are two things wrong in the music world. First, that rights holders don't even fucking BOTHER to file the DMCA's they can file...the ones that could force most music thieves to give up. Second, that rights holders don't have enough strong laws so that those who WON'T give up can be more easily jailed, hit with huge fines, or watch helplessly as their fucking websites and free blogs get shut down as easily as you can say HACKTIVIST.

Yes, yes, yes...how are you going to battle the senile moles of the world, who think that everybody in the music biz is rich, and copyright is "copy wrong?"

How, Neil, do you get your shit-brained colleagues at the BPI, IFPI and RIAA and the rest to go after abusers and, if necessary (and it's necessary) deputize a bunch of energetic interns to target, harass and destroy the smug re-uppers of the world?

And most important, what the FUCK is this new alliance going to do when the opposition is GOOGLE and the vast power machine they, Amazon, Wikipedia and others have in bribing government officials via campaign contributions and other perks?

Ha ha ho ho hee hee. Here's yet another organization (yawn) trying to demand "fairness." What's fair? America is a country where the "minimum wage" is almost impossible to live on, unless you enjoy living in a fucking slum surrounded by noisy, violent monkeys.

Aside from asking, begging, PLEADING with giant parasites like SPOTTY PIE and GOOGLE to give more than a penny per every 1000 streaming hits, why aren't you concerned with the PIRACY that gives people so much free music they don't even fucking HAVE to stream anything or BUY from iTunes??

Anyone out there? Hello??
