Ted Nugent is Monkeying around with Ferguson

Yeah, it's "Crazy Nuge" again, with the nougat brain and the wide-eyed gun-nut rhetoric...and a little bit of the truth.

As much as I loathe the guy, he unfortunately makes sense once in a while. Amid the ridiculous anti-Liberalism ranting, he punches at points that most are afraid to even hint at. The old one two:

One: that blacks are responsible for way more crime than whites. Two: that blacks will use an event as an excuse to riot and get free HD TV screens and sneakers.

Like this blog, Nugent can sound very racist. But we know that he wouldn't refuse to play with black musicians, and that he wouldn't refuse to hire some black guy to work on his website (if there was an insane black guy willing to do it). But sometimes what sounds like racism is either frustration...or the truth. It's just not so likely with Ted.

Happily for Ted, and a few other tea-party and right-wing maniacs, he's so bat-shit crazy most of the time, his message IS reported. It's almost a cartoon. So what did he say THIS time?

For background, as those out of the USA might not know the full story (not that those IN this country are all that better informed), the shitty town of Ferguson, Missouri had one of those "racial moments," like the Trayyyyyvon case. In short, a black kid got shot and killed. And perhaps in a different set of circumstances, or with a different police officer, it would not have happened.

It's usually a gray area, but we're dealing with black and white. Black kids who end up a headline because they got shot...usually got shot because a) they were where they shouldn't be, b) they displayed a lot of attitude and a gangsta-nigga vibe of insolence, c) they looked like they were armed or acted that way, d) they had a past record of civil disobedience if not a string of arrests, which means they had the look of somebody up to no good, and the vital e) they didn't pull the "I'm innocent, I've got my hands up" act fast enough after teasing a cop...a cop who has seen how quickly someone can pull out a weapon from a waistband or an armpit or a pocket and fire. Sometimes it's a split second decision for a cop. (Although sometimes..."the animal cop" is exactly that.)

Frankly, most white people are tired of these stories, which always end up an excuse for threats, violence, and in the case of Ferguson, some convenient rioting. Angry blacks think: why should only the family make money on a "wrongful death" case, when a lot of other people could use $400 sneakers or a $1200 computer? Ain't this gonna send some "economic sanctions" to white store owners? Or Korean ones? Or Hindu ones?

Newspaper reporters are NEVER going to write that Kim Kardashian looks like an ape, or that some thug that got killed was behaving like a chimp. But maybe they should? Maybe they should name and shame? That's how assimilation happens, doesn't it? Why deny the obvious, child?

An Italian guy doesn't want to be called "Guido" or "Wop" so he learns how to drop the Chico Marx accent. A Jew is less likely to get punched if he doesn't wear a ludicrous black coat, sidecurls, and a giant black hat on TOP of the yarmulka. That's human nature. We like colorful people but they can't be arrogant or threatening or stupid about it. Blacks too often fall back on "hey, I can dress and talk scary...and it feels cool to do it!"

Isn't it interesting that well-dressed, articulate black people DON'T look like monkeys? No racist on the planet could say Dr. King, or Al Sharpton or Muhammad Ali was a monkey. But Ali called Joe Frazier a gorilla. Why? Joe was behaving like one in his style of fighting. It was savage, while Ali was using science. Howard Cosell, one of the most famous sportscasters of his time, reported during a football broadcast: "Look at that little monkey go!" It was a terrible thing to say but you can understand why he said it. The player looked like a little monkey as he ran so fast down there on the green grass. Cosell, as Muhammad Ali knew, was no racist. Cosell was simply saying what he saw. You do have to watch yourself, but a mob of rioting blacks sure do like savages. Would it shame them to read it in print, or enrage them further?

Meanwhile, blacks are allowed to sneer at a "lily white" person, and the condescending "oh, he's a nice Jewish boy" isn't supposed to lead to a growl, as blacks would growl, "DON'T call me BOY." Whites are often shamed with "whites can't dance" and "look at that pasty face," and all they're supposed to do is take it, or learn how to dance or how to be a little more adept at sports (which wouldn't hurt anyone's health). Double standard there. "Thin lipped white guy" is not censored in a Richard Pryor stand-up video. Don't expect a white comic to laugh about somebody "big lipped and monkey faced."

Just the other day, an arrogant white guy in Florida was convicted and sent to prison for firing into a van where a bunch of thuggish black guys were blasting loud music. The guy asked these jerks to turn down the music, and naturally he got jeers and sneers and threats. Did any of them mime having guns? A jury decided NO. Since he actually hit one of the kids, and the kid died, he was (unlike Pistorius, for example), found guilty of first degree murder. That's premeditated murder. He intended to kill an innocent man. So said the jury.

OK, nobody's moaning much about that, and the important thing is...there were no riots, either.

Meanwhile, in Ferguson, a much poorer, much more black and disorderly little rat trap of a town, there was rioting.

OK. Got the backstory? Here's Ted:

"Our national propaganda ministry reported ad nauseum the detailed description and race of Michael Brown and that of the police officer who killed him. Based on crime stats in Ferguson and elsewhere, it would be a safe bet to assume the two thugs the police are looking for are black males between the age of 15 and 25...safe bet the two thugs being searched for were raised by a single parent, have criminal records, are high school dropouts, don’t have jobs and are very likely to be members of a gang."

"It is deaf, dumb and blind liberalism that has shoveled over $20 trillion into Fedzilla’s welfare crack programs over the past 50 years...The road to peace and prosperity in America is to reject the big liberal lie and all those who endorse it. Liberalism is a lie. Liberalism is a scam. Liberalism is a killer."

Nugent takes a leap off the high diving board into a pile of shit.

Incredibly, Liberals...who give blacks welfare, who donate money to black charities, who marched for Civil Rights and were even killed when they went down South to educate blacks on how to vote...LIBERALS are to blame. As if the cop who shot that kid was a liberal.

But in Ted's mind, Liberals are responsible for black overpopulation, I guess...that giving them welfare enabled them to stay at home and fuck all day and breed criminals...because there's not enough jobs for all of them, or teachers and schools. Something like that. In reality of course, Tea-baggers like Ted would sterilize blacks, hang them from trees, put them to work in the cotton fields, and simply throw 'em all in jail the first time they stole a candy bar or looked at a white woman.

And so, Ted's good point...about black rioting that selectively hits high-end stores selling expensive goods...and blacks who strut around acting like Gangsta Niggas and wanting to be considered dangerous (and expect all cops to know they're just kidding)...gets lost in his maniac nutsery.

But black leaders...well dressed fellows like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, are cowards who won't alienate a single black by saying, "Dress properly, speak properly, respect women, reject being ghetto thugs or dressing like them." That's the real story here. Trayyyyvon would still be alive if he wasn't strutting near a gated community in a thug hoodie. And yet after he was shot, thuggish blacks and ignorant blacks all wore hoodies and defended Trayyyyvon's right to look like a menacing burglar.

Have there been racist incidents? Yes. Whether the one in Ferugson qualifies, or the Trayyyvon case even, is a matter of opinion. But who'd be naive to think a white cop or security guard might not pick off a black without much provocation? Still, Ted's major points are valid. The culture of rap, hoodies, jeering authority and loitering...has only created animosity, rioting, frustration, anger, and business for undertakers.
