There are so many people who routinely file in small claims, too. Whenever they need a few hundred, or a few thousand, they trip over themselves in a supermarket or department store, make enough of a fuss to get witnesses or a report written up, and then ha ha ho ho hee hee, they wait for their "settlement."
Yes, thanks to insane judges, most everyone, including the city, will "settle" any and all "nuisance" lawsuits.
Here's a career criminal who murdered a holocaust survivor. But awww, his murderous hands hurt. And the jailers didn't spend enough time kissing them to make them better.
How slow is justice? This thug went to trial THREE YEARS AGO for the murder of the holocaust survivor. He was finally sentenced a few months ago!
It's a miracle that the "cold case" was ever cracked, but the sloppy killer left his fingerprints behind as he threw things all over the place, hunting for stuff he could steal, hardly paying attention to the man he murdered. The prints were matched up and sure enough, Mattison was already behind monkey bars. All that needed to be done was to get him before a judge. Which took three years.
But why put him before a judge again, because he DEMANDED millions in damages for his poor black paws? The judge might declare that he should get millions of dollars! So, in much less time than it took the city to prosecute this guy for murder, the city quickly settled. Ernie licked his big lips and decided $3500 for NOTHING was a good deal. He can spend it on plenty of junk food and cigarettes to make his time loafing in jail more pleasant.
Who said life was fair? A man managed to survive the Nazi killers, but not a craven, disgusting smug and selfish bastard named Ernest Mattison.
Hey, he killed some old white man?
A woman came home to discover her beloved husband beaten and killed? By a piece of monkey shit?
Fuck THAT, his murderous hands are hurting, let's all worry about his care and comfort, and give him medication and money!
