Metallica Should Suck the GooTube?

The guys at Metallica are realizing YouTube is EVIL?

It's owned by GOOGLE fer Chrissake.

GOOGLE is fighting the "good fight" to insist "copyright is copy wrong," avoid transparency, and continue to extort everyone to BUY placement with their search engine.

They're as charming as AMAZON, who extort book companies to either accept their rates or be SHUT OUT.

They're as charming as EBAY, who have their twisted sister PAYPAL help them steal money by aiding and abetting bootleggers and thieves.

Just today, the impotent EU was stumbling around wondering why GOOGLE does as they please.

GEE, GOOGLE, PRETTY PLEASE, would you STOP raping us in the ass?

Their response to GOOGLE was very smart-ass. Basically they said, "We're just a venue. If your record company, if some TV show, ups your material to US, we don't pay YOU, we pay THEM...IF they "opt in" to "monetization." Sorry..."

They always point to some fairy tale story of an unknown who is making MILLIONS off them, or how some fat stupid gook in South Korea made a fortune hopping up and down like he's on a horse doing an idiotic dance.

Yes, a few people have a "channel" and built up "subscribers" and get thousands of dollars IF they get millions of hits. Mostly, it's rigged. They also don't mention that if you get thousands of hits, you get NO money. "Monetization" only kicks in at a certain very high level.

What they're telling Metallica to do is open a channel, cooperate, and take the percentage offered. What they DIDN'T mention to Metallica is that the group just might be able to file a lot of DMCA's demanding takedowns of content, OR demanding that the money go to THEM. GOOGLE doesn't mind the latter: "IF somebody does that jukebox shit of upping your song to us...we'll happily switch the "monetization" so it goes to YOU, since you're the actual copyright owner. Just jump through the hoops and do the paperwork, while one of our lazy nerds then takes 10 seconds to make the adjustment."

GOOTUBE and PAYPAL and EBAY and AMAZON all make it difficult to file takedowns, and all of them make a profit on the abuse. Ha ha ho ho hee hee, they have all the power to prevent politicians from making fair and sensible laws to protect the average person against the CORPORATION.
