Or do you mean tricking morons into going to malware websites?
WHATEVER, DUUUUUUUDE.
Notice something about this fucking post, which is one of a dozen similar ones?
You didn't see a prominent "REPORT THIS POST" red flag. Did you?
Of course not.
That would make it TOO EASY to REPORT, and Christ knows, GOOGLE has so little money, they don't want to hire a few more people. They'd have to do that if they made "REPORT THIS POST" easier.
A fan would have to click "MORE" to see a drop-down menu of abuses.
Now, figure out the RIGHT category, and write a little note...
Wanna take bets on how long this shit stinks up GooTube until it's flushed away?
PS, if the King Crimson people wanted to stop it, they'd have to jump through some hoops, fill out some forms, email or fax them, and then WAIT for action.
The spammers meanwhile have gotten a day or two (or more) of free ads.
If the Crimson people do take action they'll be rewarded by a big sign on the missing post saying "We had to remove it because those Crimson cunts told us." (Or a similar: Removed by Order of King Crimson Killjoys). AND, their report would be filed at the current version of the Google-sister "Chilling Effects" website, so that hackers and Lox-faced basement dwellers can see how often King Crimson files, and where they are most likely to look. Considering how badly things are "redacted" a hacker might easily find out the exact phone number and ISP and office of the person who filed, the better to "give you a heart attack for ruining our fun."
How much money and time should rights owners have to spend on shit like this?
Right now DMCA law is so weak, anonymous jerks can do what they want. "We're just a venue" is the excuse for Google and eBay and the rest.
In the real world, a store has to keep the floors clean and dry so people don't slip and fall, and they are responsible for the products being usable, and for shady characters to be followed by security and shown the door.
Funny how websites insist they want to make things easier for customers...and then they turn around and blast them with pop-up ads, pestery banners, and a load of spam and bullshit from their users. The same fuckheads who spam GooTube are doing it on Farcebook and Twatter and everywhere else. People would like to leave the Internet and go back to NORMAL shopping but, heh heh, the Internet KILLED the mom and pop store. Now there's almost no place to go except malls that are even more disgusting than Darren Lox's grimacing face.
