Oh my COD - Fishermen Bitch About Efforts to Save Them

Oh, the awful, awful government. How DARE they interfere.

In a rare display of ecological sanity, the U.S. has banned cod fishing for a while. At least till the numbers of cod improve.

Naturally, some idiot fishermen are complaining. I guess they'd rather go out of business entirely in a year or two.

The demand for fish is actually high, thanks to recreational eating in America. Nothing to do? Let's go eat something! Let's have a snack! Let's go to McFucking Donalds and have that fish-filet thing which is some cod, CHEESE, and a sugar-loaded bun.

Republicans, which probably include most of the ignorant fish-smelling lot, always bitch about Obama in particular and Democrats in general, for using government to control people. Republicans wave a "hands off" policy, which is just an excuse for corrupt bastards to do as they please, and maintain the status quo of Big Business ignoring ecology, minimum wage and equality.

Republicans are also big on fracking, and in bed with corporate polluters, so fishermen will have much more to worry about in the upcoming years, as the coastline turns slimy, and everything they catch will be black-crusted. Yum.
