She Tweeted that somebody actually bought a CD at one of her gigs. She strongly believes (and she's a music industry veteran) that you can make a living playing venues that seat 10 or 12 people, with no admission charge, as long as they buy the CDs that you tricked your relatives into paying to manufacture via Kickstarter.
If you're perky, under 30, are willing to give blowjobs to venue owners and bus drivers and bread-and-breakfast owners, and don't mind not being able to afford a place to live, you can keep "touring" and "selling" your CDs for years! Oh, eventually you may have a nervous breakdown, or get tired of only being able to afford Burger King, but take it from Basket Case, you'd be CRAZY not to give it a try!
