Oooh, "HILARIOUS SHIT" - Not

Here's why I'm so sick of the Internet and social media.

We've got 100's of bogus regurgitating "news" sites like DEADSPIN, Decidr and Gawker and Newser and Huffington, all with unprofessional "writers" trying to make chump change by getting "hits." So they use hype and vulgarity. 

Then they rush to Twatter and Farcebook and try to get some stupid thing "trending" so they can make a few more nickels and dimes. And you thought Piers Morgan was bad!

And what is it? A contestant self-effacingly calls herself a "nerd" and host Trebek mildly replies, "you mean loser?" And then he does the "just kidding," bit, and NOBODY is offended. But some idiot at DEADSPIN figures "wowee, I can make a fIVERRRRR if I blow this up and post it on social media." 

This "shit" is a waste of time, and thousands of people have wasted more time commenting about it and re-posting about it.  

Cry wolf and shout vulgarities without me.  I've cut back drastically on the time I spend on the Net and with "social media" and it's still not enough. I may have to pull the fucking plug entirely. When I go on line to get NEWS there's almost NO NEWS, just this kind of mindless trivia masquerading as something vital.
