People are really enjoying Rousey's downfall. Even Laila Ali, the undefeated, retired boxing champ, got in a cheap shot, Tweeting on how NO true CHAMPION fighter in peak form would take a beating like that.
True enough, actually. While fighters in their prime have been knocked out, I can't think of anyone else who was "lit up" (as announcer Joe Rogan called it) and rendered bloody before getting smacked to the floor (and taken to hospital).
The way Ronda was flailing by the end of the first round, exhausted and bloody, she did seem pretty amateurish compared to Holly Holm. Pretty embarrassing for an Olympic medal winner (in judo) and a previously undefeated terror in the UFC ring.
