Australia you can KISS Gene Simmons' ass

Too bad Gene Simmons apologized...but he had to. His remarks were taken out of context by the disgusting tabloid media. Thirsty for controversy to sell papers or bring in web traffic, idiots have been shrieking how Gene Simmons trivialized the death of Robin Williams by making some harsh no-nonsense comments about suicide.

Well, FUCK YOU AUSTRALIA.

FUCK YOU, LONDON DAILY FAIL, FAUX NEWS AND THE REST.

Happy now? You got Simmons banned by some radio stations, got some of the ignorant villagers to light their torches and go after him...all because of slanted, biased "news" coverage.

I'm not remotely a KISS fan. I'll give 'em credit for putting on one hell of a (circus) show in live concert. Madison Square Garden was roaring (this was the original line-up). Simmons is a colorful opinionated jerk most of the time...and really, in the world of arena rock and heavy metal, he's actually slightly more intelligent than the average lead singer. But what's happened over the past few days is a disgrace...not to the name of Gene Simmons but to the name of JOURNALISM.

In very small letters..."he made the remarks before Robin Williams died..." And he's entitled to his cranky opinion. And guess what, a lot of people agree. A lot of times a potential suicide is greeted with "go ahead and jump," or, more likely, "go ahead, drink the poison..." (as it's easier, if the person isn't bluffing, to pump the stomach than scrape the sidewalk." Again, Gene wasn't talking about the kind of depressive Robin Williams was. He was talking about a certain type of drama queen, really. And a little "tough love" is sometimes the right answer. Gene Simmons didn't become a superstar by whining and expecting others to do his thinking for him. Again, he was talking about the average self-absorbed goth-baby, not someone seriously bi-polar and seriously disturbed.

The hypocrisy of all this, is that the tabloids are happy to chronicle the destructive behavior of Viley Virus and Justa Beaver, and egg on idiot car racers to go faster and faster even if there's a greater potential for disaster. Call that "responsible" journalism?
