We'll let the statement stand. "It was a great night of rock music." If your tastes run to that sort of rock.
It reminds me of what Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog said: "Bon Jovi Doesn't Suck!"
Triumph, an acquired taste, is a rubber dog puppet that speaks in some odd Hungarian/German accent, and specializes in wandering around insulting people. The creation of Robert Smigel, a comedy writer who worked on "Saturday Night Live," the puppet became a popular "guest" on Conan O'Brien's talk show, insulting other guests, or showing a seven minute clip of highlights from a visit to a dog show, Chinatown, or even the Michael Jackson trial.
He also visited a Bon Jovi concert, and after humiliating all the moronic fans, and joining Jon on stage to sing "You Give Poop a Bad Name," he ended up cheering, "Bon Jovi Doesn't Suck!" You can find most of the better Triumph routines on YouTube. It's an odd cult niche Smigel/Triumph has, but if you acquire a taste for it, you'll always find it cringeworthy-fun. The time he approached a sullen Eminem and tried to adlb with that prick...PRICELESS. Imagine the fab Mr. Mathers intimidated by a middle-aged Jew wearing a rubber puppet on his arm! Eminem, you ARE an asshole!
Bon Jovi doesn't SUCK.
One could never say that about a Roger Waters show. Maybe that's why the guy picked on Jon Bon Jovi. Roger has to be jealous of an arena rock band that doesn't rely on Nazi costumes, flying rubber pigs, or morose and monotonous music marched into the speakers and blasted at miserably unhappy drug addicts and loners.
