Well, that was enough for a mousy rich blonde mother of three, who needed somebody to "party" with. MARC HENRY JOHNSON became mother's little helper.
How? FACEBOOK.
She became a FACEBOOK friend of his. Why not, he's a rich HBO douchebag and has photos of himself looking arrogant and shaking hands with celebrities and boasting about HBO specials he's working on. 51 and married, with a little doggie at home, HE put himself out as a well-connected wealthy mover-and-shaker. Wanna get drunk and coked-up and smoke dope? He can help.
Wow, what a guy. He had his picture taken with George Schlatter (producer of LAUGH-IN years and years ago) so that makes him EXTRA fucking impressive. MARC HENRY JOHNSON, workin' on his tan, too.
HBO overpays their producers and freelancers. A LOT. That's why MARC HENRY JOHNSON could spend so much time partying till 4 in the morning. That's why he could afford the best drugs. That's why he had a suburban housewife idiot following him around.
The big news story in NYC these days is how a seemingly normal, 38 year-old dermatologist, mother of three, married to another dermatologist, and owner of a million-dollar home on Long Island, could turn up DEAD in a sleazy part of town, wedged in the doorway of a walk-up apartment.
And who dumped her in the doorway? MARC HENRY JOHNSON, suave, sensitive, intelligent HBO employee.
The MEDIA? The story is different in the Daily News, Daily Fail, and NY POST.
Accounts agree that surveillance footage shows MARC HENRY JOHNSON and a pal hoisting the woman downstairs. All reporters seem to agree that this is not a nasty, illegal or dangerous thing to do.
SOME accounts say she was topless and her complexion was blue. Other accounts insist she was found in the doorway "fully clothed" except for her knickers.
ALL accounts agree that the woman's panties were in her purse. Nobody seems to know why.
The general facts are clear enough: she led a double life. She had been seeing MARC HENRY JOHNSON for at least a year, and her husband and no problem with her coming into the city to "party" with her "girlfriends" and stay overnight in a hotel. He thought that's what she was doing? Neighbors say she was frequently in that walk-up apartment, where a known drug dealer lived. MARC HENRY JOHNSON's pal.
MARC HENRY JOHNSON's latest project? A docu-drama about Times Square in the 70's, when 42nd Street was called "Forty Deuce" and it was a haven for sex and drugs.
Well, ol' MARC was just doing research, right? Let's not charge him with a crime. Let's BLAME THE VICTIM, the 38 year-old "WILD CHILD" who deserved her overdose and was solely responsible for it.
That's the MEDIA for you. They find a fairly presentable picture of a disgusting slob named MARC HENRY JOHNSON, and slant the tale so that he's just some nice guy who knew where the bitch could get drugs. Ooooh, that little debutante BITCH! Hope MARC HENRY JOHNSON doesn't lose his prestigious gig at HBO! Nah, everyone at HBO can sympathize with a guy who hangs around drug dealers and bars, and picks up silly chicks via FACEBOOK.
Oh yes, MARC's SELFIES on FACEBOOK show him to be such a thin, handsome, intelligent looking man!
Someone less CLASSY than MARC HENRY JOHNSON the PIG-FACED COKE-LOVING SCUMBAG, would've taken down his FACEBOOK page. Nah. He's hoping to get more chicks to "friend" him?
The thrust of the stories in the papers, is that IT'S ALL HER FAULT, and MARC HENRY JOHNSON didn't kill her.
Only, he did.
MARC HENRY JOHNSON brought her to a drug dealer. FACT. MARC HENRY JOHNSON had been seeing her for at least a year. FACT. MARC HENRY JOHNSON watched this woman, topless or not, panties on or off, toot enough COCAINE to overdose. FACT.
MARC HENRY JOHNSON didn't call 911 from the drug dealer's apartment or insist that he and the dealer stay with her. FACT.
MARC HENRY JOHNSON did not call up a hospital and ask what to do about a cocaine overdose. FACT.
MARC HENRY JOHNSON and a pal hauled a dying woman downstairs, and moving a woman in the throes of drugs that are weakening the heart is NOT a good idea. FACT.
MARC HENRY JOHNSON and his pal dumped the lifeless woman in the DOORWAY and one of them ran away. FACT. That Johnson stayed around a while, and vaguely tried CPR, was too little too late. FACT.
What we have here is NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE and BOTH men should be in jail right now. FACT.
MARC HENRY JOHNSON has "lawyered up" and stopped talking. FACT. Reporters are too busy chortling over the "wild child" victim to chase around finding MARC HENRY JOHNSON's pal. FACT.
So far, MARC HENRY JOHNSON and HBO have had the MEDIA on their side, insisting this wasn't murder, and therefore it was all the bitch's fault, and too fucking bad about her. FACT.
And the MEDIA is chuckling about the photos showing the victim and her sappy husband together...while promoting MARC HENRY JOHNSON'S latest project with HBO. FACT.
And so NYC has a nice "scandal" to play with for a few days, before moving on to the next one. Whether it's an executive from Italy raping a maid, or a hot-shot fashion guy killing his girlfriend with a drug overdose or a knife, or a case like this, there's ALWAYS some sordid story to remind everyone about the lives of the rich and/or famous.
Just how slanted the story is depends on the reporter, someone who is more concerned with show biz than the truth.
